The Most Interesting World Museums

The Most Interesting World Museums

Nothing can be compared with a visit to a cultural place, that helps you to obtain the feeling that at least a couple of days of your vacation you have spent for the intellectual purposes. But let's be honest, - instead of another tour into the life of the prehistoric mankind - would you rather like to visit something less boring? Here is the list of 7 most unusual world museums.

Museum of the medieval tortures, Prague.
In the medieval times, careless words could easily lead you to the public square, where the instruments for extracting of all kinds of admission from the potential heretics were always prepared and ready to use.
In this museum the visitors will be in 45 minutes acquainted with 60 terrible instruments of torture with a detailed description how exactly this had worked and what has happened to a person after this torture. For example, Head-Crusher: the chin of the accused has been put into a wooden holder, a helm has been put tightly on the head and the mechanism has begun to rotate quicker and quicker... you can imagine, what kind of remains were left after that... The entrance to the museum costs about $12.

Museum of Bad Art, Boston.
Of course, one can argue for a long time - what is it - the top art. But the founder and curator of the Museum of Bad Art (MODA). Scott Wilson, has apparently a good nose for all that stinks. When the terrible painting of the unknown author has appeared - "Lucy in the Field with Flowers", Wilson came to the idea to create a museum, where "Lucy" has occupied the honorable place. Unconceivable perspective, mashed up colors, severe face of the elderly Lucy with the gray brows grown together on the bridge of nose make the painting a true "masterpiece" of the museum.
There are about 400 works in the collection that arouse perplexity. But because of the lack of space not more than 40 works are exhibited simultaneously - the area of the museum does not allow more. The entrance is free!
