Sikkim and Nepal Sightseeing Tours
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu Nepal or Delhi india transfer to Hotel
Day 2: Darjeeling Arrival. Arrive Bagdogra or Bhadrapur Airport. Drive to ‘Queen of Hills’ Darjeeling (2143 m) through forest and tea plantations. You are likely to see the famous ‘Himalayan Toy Train’ on this drive as it chugs uphill. Check-in Hotel.
Day 3: Darjeeling. Visit Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoological Park, Refugee Self-Help Center, Nearest Tea Garden and View Points. Afternoon Free.
Day 4: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse. Drive to Pemayangtse (2130 m) via Melli Check-post, Jorethang (256 m) gateway to south and west Sikkim and Legship. Check-in Hotel. Evening walk around small town and quite villege.
Day 5: Pemayangtse - Yuksam. Early morning visit Monastery. It is a premier Monastery of Sikkim and belongs to the Nyingmapa sect. Drive to Yuksam (1780 m). Here the first Chogyal (King) Phuntshog Namgyal was consecrated. Check-in Trekker’s Hut or Tented Camp. Briefing and discussion regarding trek route. Early dinner and rest.
Day 6: Yuksam - Tsokha. Begin your trek through semi-tropical forests. After 4-5 hrs of moderate trekking you will reach Bakhim (2745 m). Further, one and half hours steep trek reach Tsokha (3030 m). A small Tibetan settlement with small monastery and holy lake. Overnight Camp or Hut. Evening camp fun.
Day 7: Tsokha - Dzongri. Trek from Tsokha to Dzongri (4030 m) along the Yak grazing area. Awe inspiring view of the Himalayas. One feels over-whelmed and staggered at the towering presence of the snow giants. Juponu (5936 m) in the east, the Pandim (6691 m) on the left, while on the right a long line of granite piers run down the ‘Darjeeling Jap’. Overnight Camp or Hut.
Day 8: Dzongri Excursion. Dzongri Excursion. Overnight at Dzongri.
Day 9: Dzongri - Thansing. Trek to Thansing (3930 m). Overnight Camp or Hut.
Day 10: Thansing - Samity. Trek to Samity (4500 m) for 3 - 4 hrs. Hot Lunch and Dinner. Overnight Camp or Hut.
Day 11: Samity - Gocha-la. Return to Thansing. Early morning trek to Gocha-la (4949 m) for sunrise. The sight of the mighty Himalayas at such close quarters is awe-inspiring. Stay for an hour. Return trek to Samity. Return trek to Thansing. Overnight Camp or Hut.
Day 12: Thansing - Tsokha. Return trek to Tsokha. Hot Lunch and Dinner.
Day 13: Tsokha - Yuksam. Return trek to Yuksam. Hot Lunch and Dinner. Overnight Camp or Trekker’s Hut.
Day 14: Yuksam - Gangtok. Drive to Gangtok (1600 m) for 6-7 hrs. Drive via Tashiding, Kewzing, Singtam. Check-in Hotel. Refresh with hot bath. Evening walk around town.
Day 15: Yuksam - Gangtok. Drive to Gangtok (1600 m) for 6 - 7 hrs. Drive via Tashiding, Kewzing, Singtam. Check-in Hotel. Refresh with hot bath. Evening walk around town.
Day 16: Gangtok - Kalimpong. Drive to Kalimpong (1250 m) for 3 hrs. Kalimpong is a center for shopping of local handicrafts. It offers quiet holidays. Deep valleys with the mighty Himalayas in the background and gently rolling hills are its beauty. Nurseries, Monastery and local market are worth visiting. Evening walk around town.
Day 17: Kalimpong – Departure Bhadrapur Airport fly to Kathmandu transfer to hotel,
Day 18: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley Pasupatinath, Bhaudanath, Shoyambhunath, Kathmandu durbar squire
Day 20: Sightseeing in Bhaktapur and over night in Nagerkot to see mountain view of Himalaya and sunrise.
Day21 : Transfer to International airport
