KENYA TANZANIA COMBO SAFARI.



DAY 01: ARRIVAL NAIROBI
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, you will be met, assisted and transferred to The Stanley Hotel. You then proceed to the Giraffe Center. Here, the tame Rothschild giraffes can be hand fed with pellets supplied by the center. They have a big purple tongue, which will slime your hand like a dog if you're not careful. Below the giraffes, warthogs grab dropped pellets. This is part of a conservation effort for Rothschild giraffes. You then continue to the Kazuri Beads for shopping, a factory for beads and handicrafts. Overnight: The Stanley.

DAY 02: KILIMANJARO- NGORONGORO

Breakfast will be served at the hotel.
Enjoy morning city tour of Nairobi. Although the "Green City in the Sun" is relatively young by world standards, it has a fascinating history and many equally fascinating people have settled here over the years, each leaving their mark o­n the city in some way. You'll pass by modern day Nairobi landmarks like: the law courts, Parliament buildings, and the uniquely shaped Kenyatta International Conference Centre and perhaps pick up a few bargains at the colorful City Market. Transfer to the Wilson airport for your schedule flight to Arusha (Kilimanjaro). ETD 1230Hrs to arrive ETA 1320Hrs. Picnic lunch will be served at the Airport. After Lunch, there after proceed o­n road to the Ngoro Ngoro Conservation Area (180Km, 2.5Hrs) Dinner will be served at the Lodge.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

DAY 03: NGORONGORO CRATER

Breakfast at the Lodge. This morning you descend 2000 feet to the crater floor for a full day game viewing. This l00 square mile natural amphitheatre is host to an astonishing array of wildlife and you are almost assured of seeing rhino, elephant and lion, as well as large herds of Zebra and wildebeest. You will enjoy a picnic Lunch at the crater floor. After the daylong tour, return to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight. Overnight Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

DAY 04: NGORONGORO - TARANGIRE

Breakfast at the Lodge. Drive to Tarangire National Park. (155Km, 2Hrs) The park, originally a popular hunting area before the National Park opened in l970. It is regarded as o­ne of the best wildlife areas remaining in East Africa. Principal features of the Park include, the lake swamps, rivers and rock outcrops. There are several hills in the area and Tarangire Hill itself is centrally situated. There are nine different vegetation zones in the Park that attract a variety of wildlife. There is a most impressive Baobab forest in the Park. Tarangire is also famous for its wide variety of birds and the tree-climbing pythons are an unusual sight in any African park. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon game drive in the park.. Dinner will be served here. Overnight at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.

DAY 05: TARANGIRE - ARUSHA - NAIROBI - L . NAIVASHA

Breakfast at the Lodge. Drive back to Arusha (120Km, 2Hrs), to arrive for an early Lunch in Arusha.
Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Nairobi, ETD 1345 to arrive ETA 1435.
Leaving Nairobi, you travel west through the Kenya's fertile highlands, where tea and coffee abound, and suddenly, to your left, the trees part to reveal a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley, with dormant volcano Longonot at centre stage. Your panoramic journey ends at glistening Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort, a unique lodge and championship golf course overlooking the Great Rift Valley and beautiful Lake Naivasha. Afternoon will be at leisure. Dinner will be served at the Lodge. Overnight: Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort

DAY 06: L . NAIVASHA - MAASAI MARA.

Breakfast at the Lodge. You'll travel across the bottom of the Rift Escarpment and head southeast, passing dormant volcano Longonot o­n your right. You'll then turn right at Maai Mahiu to ascend up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then heading due south, you travel towards Narok, gateway to the Maasai Mara and district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. You'll travel across the "breadbasket" of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley before you reach your destination, Mara Sarova Camp, by lunchtime. (250KM, 3.5 Hrs) Located within the boundaries of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, this comfortable luxury lodge offers delicious meals and a swimming pool, and makes a perfect base from which to explore the wonders of this corner of Kenya. Lunch and Dinner will be served at the camp. Afternoon game drive in the reserve. Overnight: Sarova Mara Camp.

DAY 07 & DAY 08: MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE.

Enjoy full days in the Mara, with early morning and afternoon game drives. Maasai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Game abounds here, particularly when the migration is o­n, and millions of wildebeests and zebras make their way back and forth across the Mara River o­n their annual trek. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black manned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as - if you're lucky - leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up o­n film and enjoy yourselves!
On o­ne of this two day, you will have the opportunity to visit a Maasai Village. All meals will be served at the camp. Overnight: Sarova Mara Camp.

DAY 09: MAASAI MARA - NAIROBI.

Breakfast at the camp. Leaving Maasai Mara, head back to Narok, district headquarters of this part of Maasailand and then travel across the vast plains o­n the floor of the Rift Valley - keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle - and head up the Rift Escarpment o­n a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city in the late morning. (300KM, 5Hrs) Lunch o­n own arrangement. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner will be served at the Carnivore Restaurant. The Carnivore Restaurant is famous for its succulent steaks and barbecue dishes as an excellent complement to a holiday in Kenya' especially as a welcome or farewell meal. Overnight: The Stanley.

DAY 10: DEPARTURE

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Morning at leisure.
Transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
